BMW Motorrad is set to launch the updated R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure in India. The announcement was made on the company's social media platforms.

BMW R 1250 GS, R 1250 GS Adventure: New colours 

To begin with, BMW has introduced a new set of colours. The standard R 1250 GS gets a dual-tone Triple Black and Solid White paint scheme. The R 1250 GS Adventure gets the Triple Black colour as well, paired with a new ice grey colour. The bike should also be available in BMW's white, red and blue, Rallye colours.

The updated BMW R 1250 GS, R 1250 GS Adventure gets features such as Dynamic Traction Control and an Eco mode which moderately adjusts torque and power delivery in order to maximise fuel efficiency.

Then there's the BMW Integral ABS Pro system. It works in conjunction with the IMU and engages the front and rear brakes simultaneously, like a combi-braking system. 

 BMW has also upgraded the optional Hill Start Control Pro system that detects the gradient of the hill and adjusts the brake force accordingly. It's a feature that keeps the motorcycle from rolling behind while starting off from a hill. It is especially useful on loose surfaces or with a full set of luggage.

BMW is offering adaptive cornering lights, as an option. The feature consists of a headlight reflector that is able to swivel by 30 degrees and light up the corner. The height of the headlamp beam can also be adjusted in case there is a pillion or luggage onboard.

BMW R 1250 GS, R 1250 GS Adventure: Engine and electronics 

Powering the R 1250 GS is a 1254cc, twin-cylinder engine that develops 136hp at 7,750rpm and 143Nm at 6,250rpm. The engine uses BMW's ShiftCam technology. 

As expected, the bike is loaded with a comprehensive suite of electronic safety systems, including riding modes and traction control.

The updated BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 Adventure will be on sale soon. Expect the bikes to bear a slight bump in price. Stay tuned for more.
