Fresh off its announcement to enter the Indian market, British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has revealed its 2012 lineup for India. It will bring seven bikes to our shores from across its four model families – Roadster/Supersports, Adventure/Touring, Modern Classics and Cruisers. First in line will be the Bonneville, a modern interpretation of the British parallel-twin, followed by two naked sports bikes, the Speed Triple and Street Triple. The Tiger 800XC off-roader and the Daytona 675 will follow and the last of the lot will be the pair of cruisers, the Triumph Storm and the Rocket III.

Speaking about the selection of the models, Ashish Joshi, Managing Director Triumph Motorcycles India said, “We deliberated over the range of bikes to bring into India and decided to bring in these models to showcase the Triumph range.”

Joshi further added, “Our strategy for the Indian market will be well phased out. The first part of the roll-out plan will be a CKD assembly facility which will enable us to pass on duty-savings to the customer.”

Triumph will showcase its India-bound range at the Auto Expo 2012.
