Italian manufacturer Ducati had put on a strong show at Intermot in Cologne unveiling its 2011 model bikes. An updated 1198 was on display along with a new 848 EVO.
The 1198 comes standard with a host of new features including Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Data Analyser and a new Ducati Quick Shift gearbox. The Streetfighter receives a new arctic white paint scheme for 2011, while the Streetfighter S will be sold in red and black. Ducati has also equipped the Monster 796 with Marzocchi front suspension.
What’s in it for us? Expect all these models in India shortly. Ducati has also gone ahead to reveal a teaser image of its much awaited new motorcycle - the Diavel. The Diavel (pronounced Dee-ah-vel) will be launched at the EICMA International Motorcycle Show, Milan to be held between November 2-7, 2010.
While final specifications and pricing are still unknown, Ducati has announced the Diavel will feature a Ducati 1198-derived Testastretta engine and will also come equipped with ABS, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Riding Modes. Watch this space for more details.
