Yamaha has showcased an un-faired version of the YZF-R15 at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show, Indonesia. The new Yamaha is called the V-ixion, a sporty naked motorcycle with a single fairing enclosed headlight and angular body panels adorned with sporty decals. The V-ixion uses the proven 149.8cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder and liquid-cooled engine as also seen on the YZF-R15 V2.0 already on Indian roads.

The V-ixion uses a steel fabricated Deltabox frame as on the R15. The V-ixion has telescopic fork front suspension and a single rear monoshock. Yamaha would do well to bring this bike to India, the V-ixion making sense in a market like ours. It isn’t yet clear as to when the V-ixion will enter our market.
