As first reported by Autocar India in December 2013, Mahindra 2-Wheelers' (MTWL) all-new 110cc automatic scooter (codenamed G101 within the company), has just been spotted testing near Pune.

The new Mahindra scooter looks almost production ready and in its final pre-production stages. Mahindra aims to target the family scooter segment with this model, as the scooter depicts a full size presence, similar to other family scooter contenders in our market. The new scooter gets a clear lens headlight mounted on its handlebars, while the front apron gets flush fitted, vertical set indicators. The new Mahindra scooter’s mirrors are broad, and should provide ample rear visibility. And Mahindra is offering a broad floorboard for the rider.

Overall styling is conservative. The new Mahindra scooter comes with a broad grab bar for the pillion. The four-stroke, air-cooled engine will displace in the region of 110cc, and shall offer an electric as well as kick-start option.

Telescopic fork front suspension is standard, with a single hydraulic shock bolted to the rear. Tyres are fitted to pressed steel wheels.

Expect Mahindra to launch their new scooter shortly, and follow this up with their long delayed 300cc Mojo later in 2014.
