When the revised GST structure came into effect, Bajaj had announced that it would absorb the resulting price hike for all KTM and Triumph models above 350cc. Naturally, that wasn’t going to be sustainable indefinitely, and prices have now increased for two bikes in the KTM line-up – the 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure X.
- KTM 390 Adventure price increased by Rs 27,000
- KTM 390 Adventure X price increased by Rs 22,410

The 390 Duke, RC 390 and 390 Enduro bikes remain unaffected for now
The implementation of GST 2.0 increased the tax rate on motorcycles above 350cc from 31 percent to 40 percent. Technically, the KTM 390 range should have seen a price hike at that time, but the company chose not to pass the increase on to customers – a move that helped it post record sales last month.
KTM has now revisited that decision, and both the 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X have received significant price hikes. The base 390 Adventure X, previously priced at Rs 3.04 lakh, now costs Rs 3.26 lakh – a hike of Rs 22,410. Meanwhile, the standard 390 Adventure has gone from Rs 3.68 lakh to Rs 3.95 lakh – a Rs 27,000 increase.
For context, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which also saw a sizable post-GST price hike, is currently priced between Rs 3.06 lakh and Rs 3.20 lakh. With KTM’s revised pricing, the gap between the two models has widened once again after narrowing briefly over the last couple of months.
There’s no official word yet on when the remaining 390 models, like the 390 Duke, RC 390 and the upcoming 390 Enduro, will see similar revisions, but it’s safe to assume those updates are on the way. So, if you’re planning to buy one of these bikes, now seems like the right time to act.
