Hero MotoCorp will launch the Xtreme Sports, the latest version of the Hero Xtreme which was recently reviewed by us.

Hero, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles, has refreshed the Xtreme’s exterior design, giving it a smarter-looking headlamp cowl, new tank shrouds and an underbelly guard. The new motorcycle also comes with a completely new instrument console, a new split saddle and sporty new body panels.

The updated Xtreme Sports is expected to be powered by a 149.2cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder and carbureted engine. The new motorcycle will develop 15bhp of power and 1.3kgm of torque. It employs a five-speed gearbox and uses standard telescopic suspension up front and gas-filled shock absorbers at the rear.

While the front disc brake is standard fitment on the Xtreme Sports, the rear disc brake will be provided as a paid option. The Hero Xtreme Sports with rear disc brake will be priced at Rs 74,250 and the version with a rear drum brake option will cost Rs 71,250 (both prices, ex-showroom, Pune).
