Hero MotoCorp names Pawan Munjal as new chairman

Dr Brijmohan Lall steps down from post; this move finalises company's top leadership succession plan.

Hero MotoCorp has just designated Pawan Munjal as the new chairman of the company. The company's Board of Directors also unanimously appointed Pawan Munjal as the Managing Director and CEO of Hero MotoCorp.

Dr Brijmohan Lall has been Hero MotoCorp’s Chairman since the inception of the brand in 1984 and he only recently relinquished his duties as the Executive Chairman of the company. He will continue to guide and mentor the brand as the chairman emeritus. The top leadership succession plan, which was initiated in August last year with the elevation of Pawan Munjal as Vice Chairman, has come to a logical conclusion now.
