Hero HF Deluxe and ECO launched

Hero MotoCorp has added two commuter motorcycles to its Indian line-up. The new models are based on the Hero's entry-level offering, the HF Dawn. The two new avatars are called the HF Deluxe and the HF Deluxe ECO.

Hero HF Deluxe: The Hero HF Deluxe is available with many customisable options. Drum brakes are standard here, but one can choose between spoke or alloy wheels, and a thumb start or kick start. The motorbike is powered by a 97.2cc, four-stroke and single-cylinder engine that is carbureted and air-cooled. It produces 8.2bhp of power at 8,000rpm and peak torque of 0.82kgm is produced down low at 5,000rpm. The engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox.

Suspension duty is carried out by telescopic forks upfront and dual shock-absorbers at rear.

A 130mm drum brake is provided on the front and a 110mm drum brake at rear. The colour scheme offers the bike in red, maroon, silver and two shades of black. Prices for the HF Deluxe start from Rs 43,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Hero HF Deluxe ECO: Following the Hero HF Deluxe is its further environment-friendly ‘ECO’ version. Hero has taken a design route that is a bit different from the regular Deluxe's by giving it a green shade of paint, a contoured front mud-guard, an inbuilt fuel-filler cap, a slightly longish silencer and an extended rear grab-handle. The rear view mirrors are also larger, and body coloured. The leg guards receive body coloured airfoils that support to the bike's theme. The bike gets a 10.5-litre fuel tank here, like the one on the Deluxe. Visually, the two bikes are quite different from each other, if you pay attention to the details.

The ECO is available in green colour and the standard self-start, drum-brake and alloy wheel option is priced at Rs 46,150 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
