Suzuki has launched the Gixxer motorcycle in India at Rs 72,199 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new 155cc flagship model is slotted above the GS150R.

The Suzuki Gixxer draws power from a 155cc, single cylinder, air-cooled unit combined with a five-speed gearbox. It makes 14.6bhp power and 1.43kgm of peak torque. Suzuki claims to have incorporated a new technology that reduces all kinds of mechanical energy loss to improve economy and performance. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks in the front and monoshock at the rear.

Called a ‘street sport’ motorcycle, the Gixxer is said to have taken its styling and design elements from the GSX-R1000. Styling highlights include a large fuel tank, digital instrument console, twin exhausts, LED taillights and body-colored grabrails. The Suzuki Gixxer is available in 5 colour shades.
