Lohia Auto Industries has launched its new e-bike, called the Genius. Following the strong response to the Fame and Oma Star bikes, Lohia Auto is now targeting the teenagers with the Genius.

The Genius sports trendy looks and attractive features, and could be a good alternative for an economical mode of travel, the company claims. The e-bike can attain a max speed of around 25kph and can run for almost 60km on a single charge, without a pillion. It has a 48-volt motor and a 48V, 20Ah battery which can be charged in 6-8 hours.

The Genius requires no registration and license, and offers a low running cost of 10 paisa per kilometre. This light-weight, eco-friendly e-bike is noise- and pollution-free too.

Speaking on the occasion, Ayush Lohia, CEO, Lohia Auto, said, “We understand the needs of our customers and believe in providing smart mobility solutions. Our Genius electric bike will cater to teenagers, which is still an untapped market. We believe Genius will add significant value in form and function to the electric bike segment and also address the environmental concerns of the automobile industry and the country.”

Priced at Rs 25,495 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Genius is available in three colours; blue, yellow and red. With the launch of the Genius, the company plans to make deep inroads into regions where it does not have dealerships, and will soon expand its dealer network to fifty.
