Ducati Multistrada V4 coming in 2021

Ducati recently announced that the Multistrada has hit the production milestone of 1,00,000 units since the brand was conceived in 2003. The company also casually let slip that it will be launching the new Multistrada V4 in 2021, which means we’ll probably see this bike debut late next year.

The Multistrada V4 has been rumoured for a while and there are also spy pictures of it floating online that show the bike undergoing development testing. Interestingly, the Multistrada V4 will not replace the current L-twin models, but will instead be sold alongside them.

A V4 engine will make for a good fit in the Multistrada because it is more of a sports tourer than a true ADV. The motor will be based off the unit from the Panigale V4 but will be developed for more road usability than be given the Panigale’s raging top end.

In other news, Ducati has released a teaser image stating that it’ll reveal its MY2020 motorcycle range on October 23, 2019, at the Ducati World Premiere in Rimini, Italy. The bike maker usually unveils its new models at its annual World Premiere event a few days before the EICMA, and it’s the same case this year as well. Head here to know more.
