The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro is the Italian motorcycle maker's extremely off-road focused version of their highly-capable adventure touring machine. However, in order to compete with the likes of the BMW R1200 GS Rallye, the folks at Borgo Panigale unveiled the Multistrada Enduro Pro – an Enduro kitted out to make it even more suited for riding off the blacktop.
While this new Pro edition has gone on sale in Europe, Ducati India has just released a statement that this version won't be available in India anytime soon. But it's not all bad news for off-road adventure-touring enthusiasts in India. The company is offering a few accessories that will help kit up your existing Multistrada Enduro to nearly 'Pro' spec.
The Enduro Windscreen – which is shorter than stock, and will give riders a better view over the bike when riding while standing on the pegs – is priced at Rs 16,706. Then there's the entire Enduro accessory pack, which, priced at Rs 97,799, adds supplementary LED lights, as well as Touratech protectors which includes engine protection bars, radiator protection, oil radiator guard, sprocket cover and rear brake guard. Finally the Termignoni high-performance exhaust, specifically designed for the Multistrada 1200, comes in at Rs 95,411. These prices are pre-GST at this point and are expected to change post July 1, 2017.
So, for a little over Rs 2 lakh, you can convert the standard Multistrada 1200 Enduro to nearly the same spec as the Enduro Pro; however, you will miss out on a couple of ingredients. To really differentiate the Pro in off-road capability, it comes equipped with the Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres, which are offered as an option for the regular Enduro. However, Ducati India hasn't released information on pricing for these tyres yet. The other aspect that one will miss out on in India is purely cosmetic, which includes the black paint on the subframe, alternator and clutch cover, as well as the new sand colour paint scheme.
