Chinese bikemaker CFMoto has used its 2023 CFMoto Day festival to preview two upcoming multi-cylinder sportbikes. The first is the 500SR (wrapped in blue), which draws power from an inline four-cylinder engine, and the second is the 675SR (wrapped in red), powered by an inline-triple motor.

Both bikes were covered in a camouflage wrap and ridden around the Zhuzhou International Circuit last weekend. While an official unveiling is yet to take place, the company has revealed a few details about the two bikes. As for the 500SR, CFMoto says that it gets a ram air system and is capable of a top speed of over 230kph. On the topic of engine internals, it gets forged aluminium pistons and a low-inertia crankshaft.

Meanwhile, the 675SR gets a claimed 100Nm-per litre torque output, which should give it around 67Nm. This compares respectably to the erstwhile MV Agusta F3 675 (71Nm) and Triumph Daytona 675 (73Nm). It should also sport a power figure around the 100hp mark, as per CFMoto. Patent applications for this engine’s design show that it is essentially the 449.5cc parallel-twin from the 450SR, but with an additional cylinder to boost capacity to 675cc. If it shares the same 72mm bore and 55.2mm stroke as the 450, the capacity here will be 674.2cc.

Despite the camouflage wrap, it’s quite clear that both models sport sharp, angular fairings featuring multiple layers and crisp cuts and creases. There also appears to be a twin headlight setup on both, as well as twin front brake discs, upside-down forks and monoshocks.

As far as more official details are concerned, the company simply says, “All these new models that debut in CFMoto Day will be launched in different markets.” CFMoto could show the bikes in full at EICMA in November.
