BSA has taken the wraps off the Thunderbolt at EICMA 2025, marking the brand’s entry into the adventure motorcycle segment. From the spec sheet, it appears that the new model shares much of its platform with its Classic Legends stablemate, the Yezdi Adventure.

The BSA Thunderbolt will launch in mid-2026
The BSA Thunderbolt is powered by the 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine from the Yezdi Adventure, with peak output figures of 29.2hp at 8,000rpm and 29.6Nm at 5,800rpm.
The Thunderbolt comes with traction control and dual-channel ABS with three modes – Road, Rain and Off-road – like we saw with the recently updated Yezdi Adventure. BSA mentions that the bike will also feature turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and a USB charging port. The concept showcased at EICMA also included some interesting design elements like a tall rally-style front fender, knuckle guards and an asymmetrical twin-pod headlight.
Suspension duties are handled by a USD fork with 200mm of travel at the front and a monoshock offering 180mm of travel at the rear. The Thunderbolt runs on wire-spoke wheels: a 90/90-21 tyre at the front and a 130/80-17 at the rear. Some dimensions worth noting include a relatively low 815mm seat height, 185kg dry weight and a 15.5-litre fuel tank capacity.
While BSA hasn’t confirmed an India launch timeline yet, it has mentioned that the bike will become available internationally in mid-2026. We could see it introduced in our market shortly after as the update to the Yezdi Adventure, but we'll have to wait for official confirmation on that as well. In terms of displacement and performance metrics on paper, the BSA Thunderbolt sits closer to rivals like the Hero Xpulse 210 and TVS Apache RTX rather than the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure.
