Ace performance tuner Matt Capri will take two of his heavily modified Royal Enfield Continental GT motorcycles to the Bonneville Salt Flats on the 22nd to the 25th August 2014.

The Bonneville Salt Flats are located in Tooele County in North-western Utah, USA. Three major events take place here every year viz. the ‘Speed Week’, the ‘World of Speed’ and ‘World Finals’, in which cars, trucks and motorcycles participate, set and break land speed records.

Capri will race his Continental GTs at the ‘Speed Week’. Matt says the motorcycles use performance tuned camshafts, cylinder heads, throttle bodies, pistons and exhaust systems. The compression ratio has also been upped from 8:1 to 12:1, and very sophisticated EFI systems are in place.

Aesthetically, the vehicles are fit with bullet-like fairings to help streamline their aerodynamic abilities enabling maximum top speed. Matt hopes to double the bikes' stock horsepower with all the alterations made to the Royal Enfield Continental GT. Keep an eye out for more updates on this from us.
