Auto Expo 2014 saw 69 launches and unveilings

The move away from the national capital was probably one of the reasons why footfalls fell to 5,61,000 from 7,50,000 in 2012.

The 2014 edition of the Auto Expo came to a close on February 11. This year, things were quite different, with the biggest change being the venue. Pragati Maidan was ditched in favour of the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida and only the Auto Components Expo was held at the older venue.
The move away from the national capital was probably one of the reasons why footfalls fell to 5,61,000 from 7,50,000 in 2012. The Auto Expo 2014 was also spread across a bigger 48,000 square metre area compared to the 39,000 square metres at Pragati Maidan in 2012.

This year at the event, there were 23 cars, 14 two- and three-wheelers, 10 commercial vehicles and six electric vehicles exhibitors. The number of launches and unveilings at Auto Expo 2014 was pegged at 69 compared to 47 in 2012.
