The fundamentals of the Dio 125 X-edition are the same as the standard variant of the Dio 125. It, too, is powered by the 8.3hp/10.5Nm 123.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine; the entire rolling chassis and the feature set are also identical between the two. What separates the X-edition from the scooter it is based upon is that it gets a new dual-tone paint scheme and contrasting red alloy wheels. While the X-edition does come with a TFT display, it doesn’t have Bluetooth compatibility that brings in call/notification alerts and control over music playback. This functionality is reserved for the top H-Smart variant.

At Rs 87,733 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Dio 125 X-edition costs Rs 1,000 more than the standard variant of the Dio 125. However, compared to the top H-Smart variant that features keyless ignition, the X-edition costs Rs 3,950 less. The Honda Dio 125 goes up against the TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis, Yamaha RayZR 125 Hybrid and Hero Xoom 125 in our market.
