Chevrolet is expected to launch the next-gen Cruze in India sometime next year. The new car is based on an all-new platform making it larger and lighter than its predecessor.
Under the hood, the new Cruze is expected to pack in a new 1.6-litre diesel as a replacement for the current 2.0-litre motor with Chevrolet’s 1.4-litre Ecotec turbo-petrol also likely to be available.
The new Cruze is a sharper-looking car than its predecessor with its coupe-like profile and chiseled exterior detailing.
Thanks to the Cruze’s larger dimensions, there’s more space on the inside, especially at the rear, where you get an extra 51mm of kneeroom.
The new Cruze follows the latest adaptation of Chevy’s ‘twin-cockpit’ design with multiple soft-touch materials used on the dashboard and other places across the cabin.
6. Chevrolet is likely to pack the India-spec car with a lot of features, one of which could be the 7.0-inch touchscreen paired with the MyLink infotainment system.
Tata is considering separate showrooms for EVs, do you think all carmakers should do this?
