The Scrambler model lineup is the most affordable and accessible way into Ducati ownership. All Scrambler versions and variants are powered by the same air/oil-cooled, 803cc, 90-degree V-Twin motor making 73hp and 65.2Nm of torque. Unlike most modern Ducati V-Twin and V4 engines, this 'desmodue' motor still uses trademark desmodromically actuated valves, which results in a pretty maintainance-heavy machine, at least from a servicing and upkeep standpoint. The Icon is one of the most accessible ways into Scrambler ownership and is available in eight different colours. The neat touch here is that you only need to replace selective body panels to change colours as all other pieces of the bodywork are shared across the Scrambler Icon range.

Poll of the month

What do you think about the push for ethanol blends even higher than E20 petrol?

Good move; it cuts dependence on crude oil imports
I support it as it’s a greener solution than pure petrol
I’ll accept it only if it’s cheaper than E20 petrol
I am concerned about damage to my vehicle
Not good; fuel efficiency will drop even further
