The production CE 04 looks remarkably close to the Concept Link that BMW first showed off in 2017

The BMW CE 04 is currently the only electric scooter in India to feature a liquid-cooled permanent magnet motor

Large 10.2-inch TFT display adds to the special feeling, as do the premium switches and keyless start system

Large storage space is accessible at the touch of a button

This 10.25 inch dash packs in a lot of features

Jog dial serves as the main input, just like on bigger BMWs

It’s a complete head-turner and sparks conversations wherever you park it.

The BMW CE 04 is currently the most expensive electric two-wheeler on sale in India, priced at Rs 15.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With its sharp, unconventional styling, it stands apart in the market and doesn’t have a direct rival. While BMW hasn’t officially revealed what ‘CE’ stands for, its design leads us to believe it refers to Concept Electric — a name that would suit its distinctive appearance.
It is powered by an 8.9kWh battery pack, paired with a liquid-cooled electric motor that produces 42hp (31kW) and 62Nm of torque. BMW claims a top speed of 120kph and a range of 130km on a full charge, which should be enough for most city commutes.
The CE 04 blends unique styling, solid performance, and a high price tag, making it more of a design-led offering for a niche audience rather than a volume-oriented product.

Good - Rs 20/litre cheaper than E20 is a big advantage
Bad - it should have been priced even lower
Doesn’t matter - there aren’t enough E85-compatible vehicles yet
