
Blaer SPA (Secondary Power Assist )is a home-grown hybrid prototype.

Blaer Motors is the brain-child of Adarsh, Abhinesh, Ashwin and Niranjan.

Based on the Yamaha FZ, but, looks more funky than the donor bike.

You can ride with electric motor, conventional motor or in hybrid mode.

Claimed electric mode top speed is 50kph and in hybrid mode it goes up to 120kph.

In hybrid mode, claimed range is close to 250km on a full charge.

According to Blaer combined power output stands at 19.3hp and 22Nm of torque.

The Blaer SPA hybrid system adds around 9kg to a bike and costs Rs 40,000.

An OEM could package and adapt the hybrid system better and reduce price to Rs 10,000.

Funky looking dual headlight has been custom built.

All-digital instrument console has been sourced from FZ-S Fi.

Monoshock suspension is same as the donor bike.

Extended swingarm to accommodate the hybrid systen.

Single-seat gives the bike a cafe-racer rear end.

Fuel tank capacity has been reduced to 5 litres to accommodate the batteries.
