A large infotainment touchscreen is one of the most sought-after features in today’s market, with carmakers always highlighting the unit’s size in their brochures. There are more than a few mass-market cars and SUVs with touchscreen units that are larger than 10 inches, but which are the most affordable? Read on to find out.

10. Citroen C3 Aircross: Rs 11.61 lakh-14.33 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

The French brand’s SUV, which can seat up to seven passengers, gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen from the lower-spec Plus variant onwards that’s priced at Rs 11.61 lakh. Available with a 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that has manual and automatic gearbox options, the C3 Aircross is a no-frills car with a no-frills price tag.

9. Hyundai i20, N Line: Rs 11.59 lakh-12.51 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

Hyundai’s premium hatchback comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen on the top-spec Asta(O) variants; the N Line version also has it only on the range-topping N8 variants. While the i20 comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 83hp with the manual gearbox and 88hp with the CVT automatic, N Line variants have a 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that has manual and dual-clutch auto options.

8. Tata Nexon: Rs 11.30 lakh-15.50 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

Tata Motors’ compact SUV gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen from the higher-spec Creative + trim onwards. The higher Nexon trims are available with a 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine, both of which get 6-speed manual and AMT options; the petrol also gets a 5-speed manual on lower variants, and select petrol trims also have a 7-speed dual-clutch auto option.

7. Citroen Basalt: Rs 9.99 lakh-13.83 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

India’s first mass-market coupe-SUV gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen from the lower-spec Plus variant onwards. The Basalt shares its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and gearbox options with the C3 Aircross but also has an 82hp, 1.2-litre petrol option. The five-seater also gets a few more features than its SUV sibling and an aggressive price tag.

6. Mahindra XUV 3XO: Rs 9.99 lakh-15.49 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

Other than the entry-level MX1, all other variants of the Mahindra XUV 3XO get a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Essentially the facelift for the XUV300 compact SUV, the XUV 3XO is available either with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit in 110hp or 131hp state of tune or a 1.5-litre diesel engine that makes 117hp. The petrol ones get a torque convertor auto option, and the diesel has an AMT option.

5. MG Astor: Rs 9.98 lakh-18.28 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

MG Astor is the most affordable midsize SUV with a touchscreen larger than 10 inches; it gets a 10.1-inch unit from the entry-level Sprint variant onwards. Astor is MG Motor’s answer to the Tata Curvv and Hyundai Creta, and it comes with a 110hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine that has manual and CVT options and a 140hp, 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed torque convertor automatic only.

4. Tata Altroz: Rs 8.90 lakh-11.00 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

Altroz has a 10.25-inch screen from the higher-spec XZ Lux variant onwards. All three variants of its Racer version also get the same unit. The standard Altroz has a 1.2-litre engine that can run on petrol (88hp) or CNG (73.5hp) or a 90hp, 1.5-litre diesel mill. Only the 88hp petrol unit gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic option. The Altroz Racer shares its 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and 6-speed manual with the Nexon.

3. Tata Punch: Rs 8.30 lakh-10.00 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

With the recent update to the range, Tata Punch is among the most affordable models with a touchscreen larger than 10 inches. The higher-spec Punch Accomplished + is the first variant in the line-up to get a 10.25-inch screen. Tata’s smallest SUV shares its 88hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine and 73.5hp CNG option with the Altroz, though the automatic gearbox option is an AMT unit.

2. MG Comet: Rs 7.95 lakh-9.53 lakh

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

MG Motor India’s smallest EV gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen from the mid-spec Excite variant onwards, making it the most affordable all-electric vehicle with a screen of this size. The Comet is powered by a 17.3kWh battery that runs a 42hp, 110Nm motor and has an older ARAI rating of 230km on a single charge.

1. Citroen C3: Rs 7.47 lakh onwards

Most affordable cars with a 10-inch touchscreen

Considering the mid-spec C3 Feel trim gets the same 10.25-inch touchscreen as the Basalt and C3 Aircross, Citroen’s high-riding hatchback is the most affordable car in India with a unit larger than 10 inches. The two engine options – the 82hp petrol and 110hp turbo-petrol units – are shared with the Basalt coupe-SUV, as are the transmission options. However, the French company has yet to reveal prices for the turbo-petrol automatic variants.
