The Honda SP 125 is powered by a 124cc engine that produces 10.9hp at 7,500rpm and 10.9Nm of torque at 6,000rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. On our first ride, we found the engine to be impressively smooth, with only minor vibrations appearing at the top end of the rev range. For everyday riding, however, it delivers the smooth, refined performance that Honda is known for.

The Honda SP 125 is well-equipped for a 125cc commuter, featuring a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB-C charging port. It also comes with Honda’s auto start-stop system, which switches off the engine during brief stops to help improve fuel efficiency.

What is the weight of the Honda SP 125?

The Honda SP 125 is available in two variants, STD and DLX. The DLX comes with a front disc brake, compared to the drum brake on the standard model, adding 1kg to the kerb weight – 117kg versus 116kg. Either way, the bike remains lightweight, making the SP 125 easy to handle in city traffic and ideal for daily commuting.

Does the Honda SP 125 come with a warranty?

The standard warranty for the Honda SP 125 is 3 years or 42,000 km, whichever comes first from the date of purchase. Like most warranties, it covers major components but excludes items subject to regular wear and tear, such as brake and clutch hardware, sprockets, rubber parts like O-rings and gaskets, as well as engine and suspension oil. Buyers also have the option to purchase up to an additional 7 years of extended warranty.
