I need your advice on whether to go for a pre-owned Mercedes-Benz GL or a new Toyota Fortuner. My yearly running is 12,000km.

AAA With regard to your query, a pre-owned GL would be much nicer to drive and far more plush than a Fortuner but you need to bear in mind a few things. A used GL can get quite expensive to maintain, and it’s also at the end of its lifecycle so it will lose its resale value when a new one is launched. The Fortuner isn’t as plush or refined but it’s a safer choice as it is super reliable, requires little maintenance and commands a good resale value too. Alternatively, you could consider the Ford Endeavour which is a better seven-seat SUV in the same category.
