The Aprilia RS 457 is about as close as you'll come to a big-bike feel at a somewhat digestible price. Designed in Italy and manufactured in India, the bike takes great inspiration from the RS 660 and offers a captivating design combined with impressive performance. If you're considering one, here are answers to some of the most common questions.

What is the price of the Aprilia RS 457 in India?

The Aprilia RS 457 is priced at Rs 4.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike comes in a single variant and is one of the most affordable twin-cylinder sportbikes in the market. Following the recent GST revisions, it received a Rs 15,000 price hike, but that also made the quickshifter standard – a feature that was previously available as an optional extra costing around Rs 20,500.

How much power does the Aprilia RS 457 make?

The Aprilia RS 457 is powered by a 457cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 47.6hp at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm of torque at 6,700rpm. The engine features a 270-degree firing order, which gives it a distinctive bark and growl, along with occasional pops and cracks.

How fast is the Aprilia RS 457?

The RS 457 is the quickest India-made bike we've tested. In our performance tests, it achieved a 0-100kph time of just 4.99 seconds, making it quicker than most of its rivals, including the Yamaha R3, and even coming close to some 650cc adventure motorcycles. The bike climbs to triple-digit speeds with little effort, with 120kph and even 130kph being very smooth on the highway.

What is the mileage of the Aprilia RS 457?

In our tests, the Aprilia RS 457 achieved a mileage of 17.03kpl in the city and 32.52kpl on the highway. While city efficiency is on the lower side, the highway figure is quite reasonable. Even when ridden at a brisk pace, the efficiency remains decent, and you can realistically expect a range of 220-240km on a tankful.

What colours is the Aprilia RS 457 available in?

The Aprilia RS 457 is available in six colour options – Opalescent Light, Prismatic Dark, Racing Stripes, Coral Blue Snake, Arsenic Yellow, and a MotoGP Replica edition.
