Follow usThe VinFast VF6 recently went on sale as the Vietnamese EV maker’s inaugural entry-level model for the Indian market. As an all-electric midsize SUV, the VF6 falls into the same bracket as established rivals like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV. Let’s take a look at the VF6 variant and colours, the powertrains it comes with, and the features buyers can expect from one of VinFast India’s debut models.
The VF6 price in India starts at Rs 16.49 lakh and tops off at Rs 18.29 lakh, which makes it the cheapest electric midsize SUV you can currently buy. VinFast sells the VF6 in three trim levels: Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity.
| 2025 VinFast VF6 price list | |
|---|---|
| Variant | Price (Rs, lakh) |
| Earth | 16.49 |
| Wind | 17.79 |
| Wind Infinity | 18.29 |
As far as powertrains go, the VF6 gets a 59.6kWh battery pack as standard, which is mated to a front-mounted electric motor. In the base Earth trim, the motor outputs 177hp and 250Nm, while in the higher-spec Wind variants it makes 204hp and 310Nm.
Claimed range for the VF6 Earth stands at 468km, while the more powerful Wind trim can travel up to 463km on a single charge. Speaking of which, the VF6 can be charged via 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC chargers, as well as DC fast chargers. The latter requires just 25 minutes for a 10 to 70 percent charge.
The VF6 is offered in six monotone colour options, namely Crimson Red, Desat Silver, Infinity Blanc, Jet Black, Urban Mint, and Zenith Grey. These exterior colours are available across all VF6 variants.
Inside, the VF6 gets an all-black finish in the Earth trim, whereas the Wind variants sport Mocha Brown interiors.

Evidently, the VF6 Wind variant strikes an excellent balance between pricing and creature comforts. Thanks to the addition of ventilated front seats, Level 2 ADAS, dual-zone climate control, a superior sound system, heads-up display, and a stronger powertrain over the Earth trim, the Rs 1.3 lakh premium you pay for the VF6 Wind variant is well worth it. On the flip side, VF6 buyers who absolutely want a sunroof have no option but to pay Rs 50,000 extra and go for the top-spec Wind Infinity trim.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
