Hi, I am a first time buyer and live in Mumbai. I am confused whether I should buy Maruti Suzuki Fronx Amt or Maruti Suzuki Brezza Turbo. My usage is daily office commute which is approximately 40km and one trip in 2-3 months. Please suggest if any other option in automatic or manual are available.

With a daily commute of around 40km in Mumbai traffic and only occasional highway trips, an automatic would be much better to have. Between the two, the Fronx would thus be the one to go for as the Brezza Turbo comes with a manual only. The Fronx AMT also keeps costs down while still giving you the convenience of an automatic, though the shifts will not be as smooth as a torque convertor (TC) automatic which is what the Fronx Turbo comes with. Thus if your traffic conditions are constant start stop, you would be better off with the TC auto. Besides the two options you could also consider the Brezza with the 1.5 litre engine as this comes with a TC auto and being naturally aspirated makes for a straightforward drive experience in the city.

I would suggest punch EV with 40 kilowatt battery will come under 12 lakhs . The automatic will be very convenient as your usages above 40 kms a day you will save lot of fuel. And in traffic condition it will be highly beneficial.

I bought a used 2015 Maruti Swift last year when it had completed 1.7 lakh km. I purchased it and spent a total of Rs 4.2 lakh on it. I have driven another 10,000km in one year. Everything is fine, but I feel the car may become a scrap candidate if I use it for another one or two years. I can get around Rs 2 lakh if I sell it now. Please suggest the best car for a 20km daily commute and a 500km trip every one or two months. I need good boot space and cabin space.

It is also inexpensive to maintain and should give you complete peace of mind over the next several years.If you prefer a hatchback with a more premium cabin and an even smoother automatic, the Hyundai i20 IVT is an excellent alternative. The IVT gearbox is one of the smoothest automatics in the segment, making it particularly well-suited to city driving, while the cabin feels more upmarket than the Fronx.The only drawback with the Fronx AMT is that the AMT isn't as smooth as the i20's IVT, especially in slow-moving traffic.

Hey, We are planning to buy a sub-4-metre SUV, and our main requirement is good suspension for Bengaluru’s pothole-filled roads, especially as my wife is pregnant. We have shortlisted the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Tata Nexon. Which one would you recommend for our requirements? I was also considering a larger SUV like the Honda Elevate, but a well-equipped variant costs around Rs. 18 lakh on-road, which is beyond my budget. Given your priorities, the Mahindra XUV 3XO is the best fit. It has the most comfortable ride in the segment, with a suspension that deals with broken roads and potholes better than the Brezza or Nexon. The wide rear seat and good cabin space will also make a difference for your wife and family. The Brezza is the more reliable long-term ownership proposition, but its ride is not as plush as the 3XO. The Nexon is a good all-rounder, but the 3XO has the edge on ride comfort and rear seat space.On the Honda Elevate, it is a solid, reliable SUV with a comfortable ride, but at Rs 18 lakh on-road for the well-equipped variants, it is not worth stretching your budget for. Hi, which would be a good first car among Victoris VXI AT, Victoris VXI Strong Hybrid, or Seltos HTK IVT? What sort of discounts are available on the Victoris Strong Hybrid variants that could sweeten the deal? My maximum budget is Rs. 15 lakh ex-showroom. We are 4 members in the family with a pet dog. My usage is 80% in Bengaluru city, with a monthly running of less than 1,000 km. I am considering the hybrid if the pricing is good; otherwise, I am happy with the NA petrol variants. The purchase is not urgent, and I can wait until the end of 2026 or Q1 2027 as well.

Go for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza ZXI AT petrol. With your usage of less than 1,000km a month and 80% city driving in Bengaluru, the strong hybrid does not make financial sense unless you are getting a very substantial discount. The petrol automatic is smooth, reliable and well suited to city traffic, and the Brezza is a proven, fuss-free ownership proposition with Maruti’s service reach and low running costs. The Seltos HTK IVT and the Victoris VXI AT are good cars, but at Rs. 15 lakh ex-showroom you are at the lower end of their range and will be compromising on features, whereas the Brezza ZXI AT is a more complete package at that price point. The Seltos and Victoris are bigger, but not my much and the premium you pay does not justify the entry-level variants. The Brezza also has a comfortable rear seat and a decent boot, which will suit a family of four plus a pet dog and is a better deal overall.

I am planning to buy the Tata Harrier Adventure X Plus Dark Petrol Manual, and I booked it two months ago. However, I am not sure whether I will receive the car within the promised timeline. Should I continue waiting, or should I start looking at other available options? Also, could you tell me the expected waiting period for the above-mentioned Harrier variant? My annual running is roughly 6,000 km, and the Harrier's size and space suit my requirements well.

With a running of just 6,000 km a year, a petrol engine is the right choice, and the Harrier petrol is a good fit if you like the size and space. The bigger question is the waiting period. Tata’s official waiting periods can vary by city and dealer, but for the Harrier petrol, it is not unusual to see waits of 2-3 months depending on demand and allocation. If your dealer is already saying it may not arrive on time, it is worth checking with other Tata dealers in your city to see if they have a shorter queue or a cancelled booking in the same variant.If you are happy with the Harrier’s space and comfort, it is worth waiting a few more weeks rather than switching to a different car. The only reason to change would be if you need the car urgently. In that case, the Mahindra XUV 7XO petrol is the closest alternative.

Comparing VW Virtus Highline Plus 1.0 TSI Automatic with the Tata Safari Pure X turbo petrol manual. I understand segments are different. I am not confused about which car to buy. I need advice about "Should I push for the Tata Safari as I'll get a big SUV with just 2 lakhs extra" User case: I have a Tata Tiago, which I'm going to keep as 2nd car. Daily running is 15km with moderate traffic (Manual is not a problem) and monthly 1 highway trip of 200-300 kms. Family of 4 adults and a kid. Looking for best value proposition, longterm ownership, Family comfort with driving pleasure.
