I’m a first-time car buyer with no driving experience. I need an automatic car with safety features, reliability. My budget is under ₹15 lakh. Expected drive about 60 km daily, split roughly 50% highway and 50% city. Please advise.

We would suggest considering the new Hyundai Venue Turbo Petrol DCT. Within your budget, you can opt for the HX6 variant, which is well-equipped. The Venue is also an easy car to drive, even for a first-time buyer. Since it uses the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and DCT gearbox as the earlier Venue. It is a tried and tested combination that should prove reliable in the long run.

The engine feels smooth and responsive in city traffic and has enough performance for highway use as well. It is spacious enough for four adults, offers a large boot, and the interior fit and finish are among the best in the segment.

I am currently using a Rolls-Royce Ghost EWB that I purchased in 2024 as the first owner. Now in 2026, I am planning to buy a convertible sports car with a 12-cylinder engine. Which car would be best for me?

There are few 12-cylinder cars left on sale, as many have been replaced by V8 hybrid alternatives. However, there are a few that are worth considering. Both Aston Martin and Lamborghini could launch convertible versions of their V12 supercars - the Vanquish and Revuelto, respectively - in 2026. You can inquire or even put in an inquiry with their dealerships, but even if so, your delivery will unlikely happen before 2027. However, the better option is the Ferrari 12Cilindri, which is already on sale in India. Unlike the aforementioned two models, the 12Cilindri is pure naturally aspirated V12, without a turbocharger or hybrid assistance, and will likely be a future collector's item. The engine sounds exceptional, and performance is strong and fluid. The car itself is exceptionally engineered, with the latest F1-derived electronic assistance.

I am looking for a modern retro bike and am confused between the RE Hunter 350 and the Honda CB350 RS. The Hunter seems to offer more value for money compared to the CB350 RS, but the looks, refined engine, and exhaust note pull me toward the CB350 RS. I am also considering the Meteor 350, but it feels a bit too big.

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has stellar pricing, and it's a big reason why we see so many on the road. In addition to that, with its most recent update, the company has also ironed out some of its most pressing issues and made it a more well-rounded machine. The Honda CB350RS has a similar riding experience to the Hunter, but it will feel like a more substantial machine when you're riding it. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 weighs nearly 200kg and can feel big, especially in traffic or at slower speeds. But once you get moving, it masks its weight really well. A test ride will help you decide which bike is right for you.

Dear team, I want to sell my Swift VDI diesel and am planning to buy the Citroen Aircross X. I really like the Aircross X design compared to all the compact SUVs. My budget is under ₹15 lakh. How would you rate the Citroen Aircross X in terms of reliability, safety, and drivability, especially with respect to after-sales service? Thank you.

The Citroen Aircross X is quite unconventional in its design and has a certain appeal. As a product, the Aircross X is fantastic value for money. It doesn’t exude the same richness as other mid-size SUVs that are better equipped. Still, it makes up for it with solid fundamentals, such as a brilliant 1.2 turbo petrol engine, comfortable seats, exceptional ride quality, and easy handling. It’s pretty fuel-efficient, too. The only worry is the dealer network, which is quite poor and unresponsive, but we hear that after the X models of Citroen have been launched, the dealers are motivated to raise their game as well. This is certainly a car we would recommend, but with the rider that you thoroughly check out the Citroen dealer in your area before you sign the cheque.
