I’m looking to buy a 250cc ADV that’ll be used for both office commutes as well as the occasional highway ride. I’m not keen on riding off road and I’m mainly looking for a reliable, comfortable motorcycle with the ability to haul luggage and tour as and when needed. Please help me choose.

Autocar India says: Considering your requirements, we think the Suzuki V-Strom SX, which is currently priced at Rs 2.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), would make for the ideal motorcycle. Its 249cc, oil-cooled engine is an absolute gem and quite tractable in the city, which translates to effortless commutes. Out on the highway, the engine’s creamy smooth nature, even at triple digit speeds, ensures minimal vibrations and a calm cruising experience. To top it all, the ergonomics are comfortable and the handling is surprisingly nimble, considering the 19-inch front wheel and the block pattern MRFs. A standard top-box rack and anchor points behind the pillion footrest hangers to hook luggage takes care of your touring hauling requirements.
