Indian Racing Festival: Sato claims double wins in F4 India Round 3

Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru and Goa Aces JA Racing took victory in the Indian Racing League.

The Indian Racing Festival returned to Coimbatore’s Kari Motor Speedway for Round 3. Ishaan Madesh, Itsuki Sato and Shane Chandaria all scored wins in the F4 Indian championship; among them, Sato was the only repeat winner.

Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru and Goa Aces JA Racing set the pace in the Indian Racing League, with Kyle Kumaran and Raoul Hyman winning a race each. Mehul Agarwal, meanwhile, dominated in JK Tyre LGB F4, winning three out of four races.

Ishaan Madesh F4 India

Japanese racer Sato impressed in his F4 India debut. He inherited the pole after Chandaria was handed a 5-place grid penalty and converted it into a maiden win. Chandaria bounced back in Race 2, though, and took a commanding lights-to-flag victory.

Sato was back on the top step of the podium in Race 3 after Chandaria and Sachel Rotge made contact on the last lap. Finally, in Race 4, Madesh charged from fourth on the grid to claim victory, his second this season.

Starting from the pole position, Kumaran made a strong start and took a comfortable win for Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru. His teammate Neel Jani climbed from P7 to P3 but was narrowly edged out by Hyderabad Blackbirds’s Akhil Rabindra for second place.

Goa Aces JA Racing’s Hyman stormed to victory in Race 2, scoring his second win of the season. Speed Demons Delhi’s Shahan Ali Mohsin finished over six seconds adrift in second place, while Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru’s Ruhaan Alva completed the podium.

Round 3 of the Indian Racing Festival also hosted the JK Tyre LGB F4 class. Dark Don Racing’s Mehul Agarwal finished on the podium in all four races, winning three of those. But he was denied a clean sweep by MSport’s Dhruvh Goswami, who won Race 3.

Up next on the 2025 Indian Racing Festival calendar are two brand-new street circuits. Goa is scheduled to host Round 4 on November 1-2. Navi Mumbai will then host the season finale in December, but the exact dates are yet to be announced.
