Formula 1 drivers were unanimous in their opinion that the Hermann Tilke-designed Buddh International circuit is the most challenging and enjoyable layouts added to the calendar in recent years.

Youngest two-time world champion Sebastian Vettel said, “What the people did here in the short amount of time to put up this arena is incredible. All in all, it was fantastic and I'm very proud to be the first winner here. We are still hungry, we are not lacking motivation. I love what I do and we don't want this (season) to end.” Australian Mark Webber echoed his teammate’s sentiments.

"The new track here in India is awesome. It has some very interesting corners, and that's why it takes a bit longer to get used to the layout than at some of the other new circuits," said Mercedes GP driver Nico Rosberg with teammate Michael Schumacher reiterating his views.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton was also all praise for the layout, "The track is fantastic - the organisers here in India have done a great job. It's very fast and flowing, surface is smooth and the grip-level was great once the track rubbered in. Safety-wise, the run-off areas seem aplenty, and particularly the kerbs, are probably the most useable of any circuits we visit."
