The Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team will be fielding five riders for the upcoming 2019 Baja Aragon – which will be Round 3 of the 2019 FIM Bajas World Cup – that is scheduled to take place from July 25-27, 2019. The team’s squad will consist of Dakar veteran Michael Metge and Enduro champion Lorenzo Santolino, along with three Indian riders – Aravind KP, Harith Noah and Aishwarya Pissay. All five riders will compete astride Sherco TVS’ Dakar machine – the Sherco TVS RTR 450.

Metge, Santolino and Aravind KP were all part of Sherco TVS’ 2019 Dakar line-up. Metge and Araving KP had also participated in the Merzouga Rally in April this year, while Noah had competed in the 2018 Rally of Morocco with the team. The 2019 Baja Aragon will see Santolino return to rallying after recovering from an injury he had sustained in the Dakar Rally earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Pissay is competing in the full 2019 season of the FIM Bajas World Cup. She has already completed outings in the first two rounds in Dubai and Portugal, and is currently leading the standings in the women’s category. The 23-year-old will be looking for redemption at the Baja Aragon after crashing out of the event last year on what was her maiden international rally outing.

Commenting on the team’s rider line-up for the Baja Aragon, B. Selvaraj, Team Manager, TVS Racing, said: “It’s a thrilling journey for us to take part in the 36th edition of Baja Aragon. The takeaways from such rally events are huge as it results in improving the team’s technical capability and provides inputs for the development of robust motorcycles. Our technical team is putting their best effort to get the bikes ready and we have good line-up of racers for the strong performance. We can’t wait to see the success!”

This year’s Baja Aragon in Spain will see participants tackle 827km, with the route passing through the regions of Jiloca, Sierra de Albarracín, Cuencas Mineras and Community of Teruel.
