Mini India has officially started accepting pre-launch reservations for the new Cooper Convertible.

The Mini Cooper Convertible is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which is mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox

The Mini Cooper Convertible's engine produces 204hp and 300Nm of torque.

The Cooper Convertible features an electrically operated soft-top roof that can be opened or closed in 18 seconds.

The electrically operated roof of the Cooper Convertible can be open or closed at speeds of up to 30kph. 

Other than the roof, the convertible has slightly different-shaped taillamps, and gains more weight due to additional bracing for its chassis to enhance overall rigidity and safety.

It  features an Android-based 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, and is expected to come with powered front seats, a premium sound system, automatic climate control, a rearview camera, a wireless charging pad, ambient lighting and cruise control
