Mahindra has increased the warranty period on its recently facelifted Xylo MPV from 2 years/50,000km to 3 years/1,00,000km. An extended warranty package of an additional 2 years/50,000km was earlier offered at Rs 10,000, but this will most likely be withdrawn since the standard warranty period has been increased. Interestingly, this is the best warranty scheme offered on any Mahindra vehicle.

The Xylo’s direct competitor, the Toyota Innova is offered with a 3 years/1,00,000km warranty too. The Japanese carmaker’s reliability is well known and by offering the same warranty, Mahindra wants prospective customers to feel the same way about its Xylo.

The Maruti Ertiga gets the shortest warranty period of the three – 2 years/40,000km. All Maruti vehicles are offered with the same term. You can buy the extended warranty package at an extra cost; 3 years/60,000km for Rs 4,629-Rs 5,730 or 4 years/80,000km for Rs 9,034-Rs 11,202.
