Chevrolet Trailblazer India launch this month

Chevrolet is all set to launch its new Trailblazer SUV this month. This will be the first Indian launch from the American giant without the involvement of its erstwhile Chinese partner, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SIAC).

The Trailblazer will be powered by a 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine, producing a healthy 197bhp and nearly 51kgm of torque. To be offered only in a 4x2 guise, power is transferred to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission.

With a length of 4,878mm, width of 1,920mm, and height of 1,847mm in height, and wheelbase measuring 2,845mm, the SUV runs on 18-inch wheels, and weighs in at a hefty 2,068kg, and still manages a 0-100kph dash in 9.89 seconds.

On the interiors front, the Trailblazer gets a black and beige dual-tone dashboard, leather seats, a Bluetooth-enabled 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital readouts for temperature and blower speeds inset the air-con dials, electrical driver-seat adjustment, cruise control and a 50:50 split third row of seats. Exteriors get projector headlamps.

Available only in a single top-spec LTZ trim, the Chevrolet Trailblazer will be brought
in as a CBU from Thailand, and is expected to bear a price tag of approximately Rs 29 lakh (ex-showroom).
