Toyota Hiace MPV India launch this year

In an attempt to gauge consumer response in India, Toyota has unveiled the Hiace at the 2015 Bus & Special Vehicle Show in Delhi. The Hiace is a 10-seater van that Toyota sells in over 140 countries across the globe.

The Hiace is powered by a 3.0-litre engine that develops 134bhp and 30.6kgm of torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. In terms of features, the Hiace gets power steering, power windows, audio system with CD, USB, rear defogger, reversing camera, ABS and dual front airbags.

“We have been continuously studying the market for customer preferences and thus, based on customer needs, we are showcasing the Toyota Hiace for our potential business customers. This will be the first of its kind offering from Toyota in India,” said N Raja, senior VP – sales and marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.

Toyota will be launching the Hiace in India, in the second half of this year.
