Tata has opened its new flagship showroom in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Spanning 4,400 sq ft, the new showroom features a lounge area, Wi-Fi connectivity, a café and a children’s play area. The showroom also features video walls where customers can configure their cars using tablet PCs, along with a merchandise wall which includes a range of accessories and lifestyle merchandising.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranjit Yadav, president, passenger vehicle business unit, Tata, said, “Customer centricity is the hallmark of Tata Motors. As desired by today’s Indian motorist, the showroom offers best-in-class service in a stylish and premium format to enhance the buying experience of our brands."

With the new flagship showroom, Tata plans on providing its customers a more upmarket buying experience. The company intends to implement this new look and feel to the rest of its dealer network as well, complete with all the customer-centric initiatives incorporated, as seen in this flagship Mumbai showroom. Tata currently has more than a 1000 sales points pan India and the car manufacturer plans to inaugurate another four to five outlets across all the metros in the first quarter of 2013.

In December 2012, Tata's vehicle sales declined 51 percent to 14,185 units as against 28,916 units sold in December 2011. However, according to Ranjit Yadav, the newly introduced Manza Club Class and Safari Storme are doing well in their respective segments.
