Skoda has launched a MySkoda mobile app to strengthen aftersales services and ownership experience of the brand. Earlier this year, we had reported that Skoda was investing Rs 100 crore into improving its dealerships and service packages to reinforce its customers’ trust. The new app is one of the measures undertaken by the automaker along with offering improved warranty, road-side assistance and maintenance packages on all its new cars.

The MySkoda app offers a host of functions for the customers and “facilitates two-way communication with the brand”. It allows the owner to stay up to date with the condition of his car by providing details of service due date, insurance, warranty and extended warranty, road-side assistance and other maintenance schemes. The app allows access to the service history of the car including access to itemised bills of the same. It also functions as a database for storing digital copies of important documents such as the car’s registration certificate, PUC and insurance policy.

The app has a handy service-cost calculator to calculate the estimated price of the service, before enabling the owner to book a service at a future date. It comes with a GPS-enabled dealership locator to help locate the nearest dealership to his or her location. Also provided is a customer-care hotline number in case of any queries.  The app is available for download on the iOS and Android platforms.
