Pioneer India Electronics has unveiled its new range of India-focussed products for 2015. These include a wide range of in-car entertainment products such as AV players (8 models), DVD players, CD and USB players (9 models) to speakers (7 models), and sub-woofers (6 models), priced between Rs 1,200 to Rs 29,990.

Japanese engineers have designed a new equaliser curve technology called Todoroki EQ, which the company claims, is after listening to more than 1,000 Indian songs to fine-tune the output from its system. The company says, the sub-woofers have also been designed after extensive India-focused research, and offer a plethora of new and improved functions that promise to deliver a revolutionary in-car audio experience.

Commenting on the occasion, Minoru Ogawa, managing director, Pioneer India Electronics, said, “India has always been an important market for us. While most companies repackage their products for Indian consumers, Pioneer has made genuine efforts in studying the needs of Indian consumers, and has then designed new models and features that cater to the requirements. Our India-specific speakers TS-C600IN and the new preset equalisation: Todoroki EQ, are a few examples. A lot of research and resources have gone into developing these features”.

Pioneer has also introduced the new App Radio Mode USB feature and App Radio Live, which allow apps from smartphones to be viewed and controlled directly from the touchscreen display. This means that along with basic telephonic functions, consumers can now access various smartphone applications through the touch screen with just a USB cable. They are also designed to survive in extreme Indian conditions, such as prolonged heat, moisture and dust.

Arimasa Kinoshita, general manager, Pioneer India, while commenting about these features said, “We set a new standard with MIXTRAX, the Car DJ solution, a few years ago, and we are doing the same with App Radio. With App Radio Live application and Mirror link in most of our touch-screen products, one can easily access and run selected mobile applications.”
