New Skoda Octavia bags more than 1,000 bookings

The new Skoda Octavia has received over 1,000 bookings since its launch on October 3, 2013. Skoda has also enabled online bookings for the car, which seems to have paid off. 

According to Sudhir Rao, managing director, Skoda India, said, “The Octavia is the heart of our brand and is our attempt to give customers one of the best offerings in the country. With the new design language the Octavia is a head-turner and is a great value proposition for the Indian consumer.” 

Pawel Szuflak, director, sales and marketing, Skoda India, said, “We are delighted with the wonderful response that the Octavia has got from the market. It further substantiates our belief in the product and the customer’s loyalty towards the brand.”

Prices for the new Octavia start at Rs 13.95 lakh for the 1.4 petrol Active, with the top-of-the-line 2.0 TDI Elegance costing Rs 19.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car will be offered in three trim levels: Active, Ambition and Elegance. The Elegance variant, powered by a 1.8 TSI petrol engine and fitted with an automatic transmission, costs Rs 18.25 lakh The diesel range spans a 2.0TDI CR Ambition priced at Rs 16.55 lakh and the AT version priced at Rs 17.55 lakh. The top-end Elegance 2.0TDI CR AT in diesel has a sticker price of Rs 19.45 lakh.
