Nissan has unveiled its Lannia concept saloon, aimed at "Post-80s trendsetters", at the Beijing motor show.
The new concept is the result of collaboration between Nissan Design China and the Nissan Global Design Centre.
Nissan's product boss, Andy Palmer, said: "It joins our growing family of China-focused models."
Myriad design features are shared with previous Nissan concepts and current production models, including the prominent grille.
Its distinctive modern looks are hoped to appeal to younger buyers, the number of which is rapidly growing in China.
Taiji Toyota, head of Nissan Design China, says the Lannia Concept exudes “daqi” – a term that suggests upmarket aspirations.
The Chinese name of the concept, "lan niao yin xiang", is stated to pay tribute to the well-recognised Nissan Bluebird; it reputedly translates as "Bluebird impression".
It was also announced that the Nismo's high-performance variants will be officially offered in China, starting with the GT-R Nismo and the 370Z Nismo.
