Mercedes CLA-class sedan: A look at features

The Mercedes CLA-class is available in both petrol and diesel form; two trims on offer for the diesel while petrol comes only in top trim.

Mercedes-Benz has just launched the CLA compact luxury sedan here in both petrol and diesel guise. The petrol-powered CLA, is known as the CLA 200 is available only in the top-spec Sport trim while the diesel variant, the CLA 200 CDI comes in the lower-spec Style as well as the fully-loaded Sport trim.
 
Here’s a look at the equipment on offer on the two trims of the CLA-class sedan.

·         Bi-xenon headlamps with integrated LED daytime-running lamps
 
·         7-speed DCT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters
 
·         Three-spoke multifunction steering wheel
 
·         Powered driver’s seat with memory function
 
·         Hi-resolution 7-inch colour display with 20 CD multimedia system
 
Mercedes CLA Sport
 
·         Uniquely styled radiator grill with diamond finish and chrome inserts
 
·         Panoramic sliding sunroof with automatic rain closing feature
 
·         17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels
 
·         Twin-exhaust outlets with chrome finish
 
·         Leather-wrapped three-spoke multifunction steering wheel
 
·         Single-colour ambient interior lighting
 
·         Powered front seats with memory function
 
·         Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround-sound system
 
·         Hi-resolution 7-inch display with navigation and rear-view camera
 
·         Faux silver trim on the interiors
 
The Mercedes CLA sedan uses the same engines as the GLA crossover, a 135bhp 2.2-litre diesel and a 181bhp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, both mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, powering the front wheels.
