Mercedes-Benz has launched two 24x7 road assistance programmes – Mobilo lite and Mobilo Plus – in India. The services are offered as standard for three years with all Mercedes-Benz cars and can be extended for up to five more years, at a starting cost of Rs 3,999 to be paid at the time of the purchase. This extends the roadside assistance package to a total of 8 years of the vehicle’s age. The on-road assistance program includes service in the event of any mishap, breakdown, accident or vandalism of the car.

The Mobilo Lite service is offered by authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers for 365 days from the last day of last periodic service. The service can be availed by the customers in the event of a mechanical failure, electrical failure, accidental breakdown, battery issues (including a flat battery) and fuel problem (including running out of fuel, contaminated fuel or incorrect fuel). Furthermore, it also undertakes issues like locked keys, lost keys or broken keys and tyre problems (such as punctures, bolts or valve-related issues).

The Mobilo Plus – as an advanced service – includes roadside repairs, towing (in case the vehicle gets stalled), taxi service from up to 50km from the breakdown location, a replacement vehicle for the time the vehicle takes to be fixed, onward/return travel, hotel accommodation, if required (with a maximum of up to three nights), legal advice and medical coordination, if required.

In all these circumstances, a personnel from Mercedes will reach the place where the vehicle is immobilised, to provide assistance.
