M&M’s vehicle exports grew by 70 percent, while tractor exports grew by 16 percent in the financial year ending March, 2012.

The XUV500 was ranked amongst the top ten compact SUVs in South Africa, while Mahindra USA doubles its tractor billing to cross the 10,000-unit mark for the financial year ending March, 2012.

In the Asia Pacific region, Mahindra exported 2,359 tractors to Bangladesh in the year 2012, which was the highest number exported till date. The Mahindra Swaraj brand also grew handsomely in the SAARC countries with 12 percent annual growth and highest ever exports of 1800 units.

Mahindra claims that markets like Chile and South Africa are important markets for growth, and that the company will focus more on similar markets in the future.
