The Indian motorcycle market has come a long way. We've come from no real performance bikes, to an extensive array of models that today has you spoilt for choice.

We first confirmed this in Autocar India Feb 2011. Since when Kawasaki and Bajaj has been burning the midnight-oil, mere weeks now remaining before they bring the exciting, 649cc ER-6f model to India. The faired-in Ninja will be powered by a four-stroke, parallel-twin layout, liquid-cooled engine. Fuel-injected, the ER-6f shall output 72.1bhp of peak power at 8500rpm, and use telescopic front forks with a monoshock suspension at rear.

The ER-6f will be assembled by Bajaj in Chakan, imported into the country as a CKD unit. Expect an on-road price in the region of Rs 5.5 lakh for this top-quality Kawasaki motorcycle.
