Honda has introduced a new take on the standard extended warranty; it’s called Any Time Warranty. While standard extended warranty service can be used until two years after purchase, this new Any Time Warranty scheme allows Honda owners to extend their warranty for up to seven years after the date of purchase. Catch is, your Honda car has to be less than seven years old and should have clocked less than 1,00,000 km on the odometer. If you fulfil these conditions, you can go in for a Honda-backed extended warranty of one year or 20,000 km.
This warranty can be purchased a month prior to the expiry of the existing warranty or anytime within the first seven years of ownership. It covers replacement or repair costs, if a part covered under the warranty is found faulty. The costs incurred for Any Time Warranty will differ based on the model, whether timely service records have been maintained, and what the overall condition of the car is.
It is totally advisable to head to your nearest Honda dealer to get all the costing details and further terms or conditions, if any. This new scheme does come across as an effort from Honda to up the ante when it comes to offering better ownership experience to all its customers, and not just the new ones. Honda models eligible for Any Time Warranty include current cars like the City, Amaze, Mobilio, Brio and CR-V, bygone models, and also discontinued cars like the Civic, Accord and the Jazz.
