Honda has added another automatic variant to its City line-up.

Buyers of the Honda City can now opt for an automatic gearbox in the mid-spec S trim level as well. Earlier, the automatic gearbox was available only on the top-end V variant.  The City S A/T is targeted at buyers who want the convenience of an automatic gearbox at a lower price-point.

The City S A/T lacks features found in the top-end V A/T variant, such as turn-indicators on the wing mirrors, chrome finish on the exhaust tip and door handles, fog lamps, cruise control and gun-metal finish on the dash. The City S A/T also comes only with five-spoke alloys instead of the ten-spoke ones found on the V trim. All automatic Honda Citys come with a five-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shifters.

The only other car in the segment that comes with an automatic gearbox in the mid-spec trim is the Skoda Rapid. It comes with a six-speed auto in the Elegance trim and is priced at Rs 8.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The City S A/T is priced at Rs 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
