Tata Motors' new MD, Guenter Butschek, with the Hexa Tuff at Geneva.

Tata showcased the Tata Hexa Tuff, a more personalised version of the Hexa, at the Geneva motor show 2016. The Indian automaker had previously showcased the concept alongside the production guise Hexa at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.

Created by Tata’s Personalisation Studio, the Hexa Tuff follows a darker exterior theme with many of the brushed aluminium and silver bits from the production Hexa blacked out to add to the car’s appeal. Additionally, the Hexa Tuff also gets blacked out headlamps and darkened 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear bumper also gets the word ‘TUFF’ embedded into the body cladding.

Inside, the Hexa Tuff gets more tech than the standard Hexa showcased at the Auto Expo, for a more premium feel. The added equipment include a navigation system, heads-up display and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The Hexa Tuff is powered by the same 2.2-litre Varicor 400 turbo-diesel engine making 154bhp and a massive 40.79kgm of torque as the standard Hexa. It is equipped with four driving modes – Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road – and also gets an AWD system.

Tata also showcased the upcoming Tiago hatchback and its upcoming compact sedan codenamed Kite 5 at the motor show.
