To mark five years of its presence in India, Land Rover has announced a Freelander 2 Sterling edition at a price of Rs 44.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai, pre-octroi). This anniversary edition gets some cosmetic updates; no change in mechanicals or interiors.

The Freelander 2 Sterling edition gets 17-inch five-spoke alloys with anthracite finish, darkened grille, fender and side vents, tailgate spoiler, front and rear apron, side claddings and a chrome-plated exhaust.

Rohit Suri, VP, Jaguar-Land Rover India, said, “It will further endear the hugely popular model to our young and sophisticated customers looking to own an exclusive Land Rover with enhanced sporty looks.”

The Freelander 2 Sterling edition is powered by a 2.2-litre TD4 diesel unit that makes 148bhp and is coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission.
